The FIMA 2019 – Algarve Classical Festival presents "Landmarks in the History of Music - the Baroque". The third concert dedicated to the great periods of the History of Music will be dedicated to the Baroque and the musical genius of Johann Sebastian Bach. We will be able to listen to two pieces that portray his activity as a composer, which encompassed sacred and profane music. Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 begins with all the splendor that characterizes the music of the Baroque period, which includes the famous ‘Air on G string’. The Grupo Vocal Olisipo, one of the referenced ensembles in the Portuguese choral music panorama, will join the orchestra to perform 'Magnificat' - probably one of the pinnacles of religious music of all times!
